    Rylance is said to be so good but I’ve never witnessed him at work. His Olivia in Twelfth Night is legendary.

    I agree. I also saw this back in 2003 and was enraptured, as you say. Rylance lended this sort of tragi-comedy to the role which I didn’t pick up on from Shakespeare’s text. This interpretation makes so much sense though.

    I have been searching for this since it was first broadcast on BBC 4. How I wish it would be released on DVD. Truly a magnificent and engaging production. Thank you so much for posting!
